Facebook Group Posting Issue Solved

posted in: Guild Articles | 0

Heads up about a sneaky Facebook change!

You will know that since last Thursday none of you have been able to upload images to my posts in our groups. Well, it’s been a very frustrating head scratcher but it is now solved.
The reason was what appears to be a sneaky change from Facebook in the settings of the main PCG Page! Yes, the page, not the group.
In the settings there is an option called ‘Visitor Posts’ under ‘Page Visibility’ In this option there is a check box that says people can add photos and videos to the page. If this is not checked then members of your groups cannot add images. I know that quite a lot of you have your own groups and also join groups as your page so it may be wise to head over and check your page settings so that this doesn’t happen to you.
