Facebook Frenzy

The week when Facebook Instagram and Whatsapp went down!

In a week where Facebook / Instagram and Whatsapp went down for 6 HOURS how did you cope? It was one of the main headlines the next day, people were going crazy without them.
Did you notice they weren’t working? I didn’t. I did ponder at one point why my Facebook news feed seemed a little out of date but other than that it didn’t affect me at all. Luckily it wasn’t when I was doing lots of scheduling earlier in the day, that would have been a bit annoying.

It does highlight how social media has taken over a lot of our lives though doesn’t it. That such a small thing could impact so many people so badly. I am so pleased that I wasn’t one of them.

Putting everything in perspective that you should focus on the things that you love, family, friends and crafting! Make those gorgeous products of yours and lets see if we can find ways to release the shackles of social media. Going forward shall we brainstorm some ideas in the workspace about how to best use our marketing time? Maybe we could work out some digital Mexican waves so that we can all promote each other? What do you think?
